I’ve seen posts that talk about her rudely when the Emmys ballot got released (and just in general), but she doesn’t deserve that. It’s one thing to dislike EJ, but Sarah Jane Morris has done nothing wrong, and a nomination for her would be a nomination for NCIS so I really hope people will be able to put aside their dislike for EJ and support her.
I don’t like one and done. Period. I knew when Kentucky hired John Calipari that we would have our fair share of one and dones and I hated the idea of it. In action, I hate it even more. I can’t mask my distaste for it and say; ‘oh, but at least we get these superstars at our program!’ even if I…
To me this is not an unpopular opinion at all. I can’t stand one and done, and you’re right, next year is going to be so much worse. Last year we knew who was going from the beginning of the year (Wall was never going to stay, cousins either, sure orton was a bit of a surprise, but bledsoe was always good enough to go, and my boy patrick was graduating) This year it was hard though, there was that whole will they/won’t they thing for a while.
Like you I hate the idea of one and done, because to me college basketball is about heart and it’s hard to put your heart into something if you’re already thinking about leaving. The reason this seems like an unpopular opinion though is because most Kentucky fans don’t care about one and done, if we keep winning.
And don’t get me wrong I love winning, but isn’t it more fun when the team is one you’ve had a little time to pour you’re whole heart and faith into? Like this year to me was so much more amazing in the tournament last year because our team wouldn’t have been wear it was with out Josh, Deandre, and Darius, they carried us through the tournament. And I thought maybe this tournament would help Cal realize that young talented players are great, but reliable veterans that pour all the have into their school are what make a team.
I think Cal’s riding on how we do next year, if we make it to another final four, great! Another national championship? Even better, but if we don’t, he might want to reconsider his tactics. Will he? Probably not, because that’s the coach cal is, he takes these young kids for a year and prepares them to play in the pros and that’s a great thing to be, but to me, it’s not what makes college basketball great.
